The Bump

OKAY-OKAY. I guess some people are curious about the bump. I really haven't been TRYING to hide it anymore, but it has been awhile since I have "bumped" into some of you! So, here is a sort of recent pic. It was taken a couple of weeks ago at Katie's (the girl in the front of the line) baby shower. She is a friend in my ward who is awaiting her first boy after three of the CUTEST (like they could be Children's Place/Gap models cute) girls ever! She only has like days to go now. The girl behind me is Marie, another friend in my ward who is expecting her third boy, like me! She is due a couple months after me (we posed in the order of expecting).
I guess I am a LITTLE bigger now (really not much-I think the weight is going straight to my rear end now) but I am never pulled together enough to have Steve snap a quick photo or anything. Even at this baby shower, I've got the ever present pony tail going on. Oh, I had better get used to it, once the babes get here, I'll probably barely be able to shower! Anyway, there's a belly photo for you all. Hopefully it will suffice:)

6 Random Things

1- Post the rules on your blog.

2- List 6 random things about yourself.

3- Tag 6 people at the end of your post.

4- Let each person know they have been tagged.

Random #1: I just finished peeling some potatoes for dinner and a little tiny speck of potato somehow got flicked up into my eye. I was able to get the tiny piece off my eyeball but I think it is scratched a little. My eye is all red and irritated. Hmm, how delightful!

Random #2: Currently, I am obsessed with "nesting" and I am a little bugged that I have to be pulled in so many directions. I just want to buckle down and get things done! It is hard to have kindergarten still be my top priority when my heart is aching to get things ready here at home. But hey, I am a professional! I must perservere. In the meantime, I can be glad that slowly, but surely the to do list is getting checked off.

Random #3: My cravings for certain foods are starting to dissapear-yeah! No more urgent needs for taco salads every other day!

Random #4: I just sent the boys downstairs with my valentine sack from school. The school kids always give valentines to their teacher and it is always very sweet, but I have a dislike for certain candy in my old age. I have eaten all the good stuff (chocolate etc.) and there are a few suckers, pixy sticks and airheads left. Conner was soooo thrilled that I would give him my sack, he said, "Mom, you are the best mom ever!" Hey, just hearing that is worth a cavity or two!

Random #5: I recently developed the ever exciting pregnancy side effect of swollen feet and ankles at the end of the day. Actually, it starts occuring around 2:00ish in the afternoon and by about 5:00, it is down right excruciating! I don't remember having this with the other two kids-at least not this soon. I still have THREE months left! Heaven help me!

Random #6: I get to have a day off tomorrow! Yeah! Most of the day will be spent at various doctor appointments for different tests I have to get done, but at least I will get to sleep in and have a generally-peaceful (minus 25crazy-loud kindergarteners) day! AHHHHH!

Okay-Six people to tag. My heck. I am sooooo out of the blogging loop. I don't have near the opportunties I used to have to even sit down and check on my fellow bloggers. I am a little stumped as to who to ask, so I am just gonna tag ANYONE who feels the need to make a rondom list like this one on their blog. Have fun!

Jon and Kate Plus 8

So, we have just discovered this show. Well, we had heard about it, but since we don't get the TLC channel, we never got to see any episodes. People keep asking me if I've watched it since we are gearing up for our "multiples." It dawned on me that we could totally have Netflix send us the first two seasons! We watched the first few episodes last night and we are IN LOVE! What a GREAT family! AMAZING actually. It is SOOOOO entertaining watching this couple deal with their eight kids and actually ENJOY them too! It makes Steve and I feel more competent and ready to handle a simple, easy TWO! We were especially intrigued with the way this couple communicates and works through problems and even just their personalities! Jon and Kate are SOOOOO much like Steve and myself. He's pretty laid back and easygoing and she is more of the control freak, a little paranoid, but very on top of things-wants it done her way (cause it's the right way:)) I like how they come together in their living room at the end of the day to answer questions for the camera crew and to hear what they say about the day and their kids. They discuss the gripes they had with how the other person handled something and they come to terms with it, smooth it all out. They end up making a very good team and the proof is in their kids! AMAZING! This is truly an inspiring show. Two thumbs up! Actually, two ENTHUSIASTIC thumbs up!
Check them out!

Mom, what about the laundry?

Here's a funny little statement I heard this morning:
"Mom, the laundry is almost up to Jesus!"
I was in my bathroom getting ready so I did not know what the boys were talking about. I pictured a huge pile of laundry trailing the skies and reaching for the heavens. I heard Lewis giggle, "Yeah, it's so tall. I bet it'll touch Jesus by tonight!" Okay. I had to see what the heck they were talking about.

Oh yeah. I moved the laundry hamper from the master bath and out into the hallway last night in hopes it would motivate me to do a load or two as I passed by. No dice on getting any more laundry done but yep, looks like it's just about to touch Jesus!

Get used to it boys. If I can't stay on top of the laundry now, I can't imagine how it will be with two more little bodies around here to dirty up more clothes. Hey! I have an idea. I'm thinkin' you're at JUST the right age to learn how to run that washing machine and dryer! Who wants to separate the darks from the lights? Anyone? Boys?
